The Beatles, "Eleanor Rigby"

This song might be my favorite for making up bogus new lyrics: "Joshua Buergel / Sits on the couch trying to think of a bit / Noone reads iiiit"

Oneohtrix Point Never, "Sleep Dealer"

Hot take time: Replica is real fuckin' good!

...

I'm being informed that this take is ice cold.

The Exceptions, "Trailer Park Girl"

While The Exceptions are not remotely in the top tier of third wave bands, this is still plenty enjoyable, and you don't have to just listen to the top bands in a genre. Well, you can do whatever you want. Except when you listen to this blog!

David Bowie, "Rock 'N' Roll Suicide"

The end of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, I'm not going to tell you anything about this album that you don't already know, so I'll just say: goddamn, listen to the vamp on this.

Gas Huffer, "Going To Las Vegas"

Janitors of Tomorrow is an incredible name for a garage rock record, and Gas Huffer's debut album is a real charmer. First, it contains the immortal "Night Train to Spokane", so it's already way ahead of other records which do not contain "Night Train to Spokane". But beyond that, nothing on the album overstays its welcome, there are lots of great tunes, it's just a delight.

I had to go back to this track because I forgot to download it, and I just went ahead and listened to it again right in a row.
