Bananagun, "Mushroom Bomb"

A thing I can recommend as a solid move is to befriend some people in Australia, and then get some music recommendations from them. You'll get plenty of stuff that you never otherwise would have heard, and if my experience is anything to go by, they'll be absolute delights - the people, and the bands.

The Supremes, "You Can't Hurry Love"

Surprised there's not a parenthetical in this title. I mean, even a "(You Can't) Hurry Love" or something, come on, it's like they're not even trying.

Tar Babies, "Walking Dead"

You know, up until just this very moment I hadn't made this connection, but that is a seriously Mac DeMarco-ass sound they have going here. Or, given that the Tar Babies preceeded him by a couple decades, the other way around.

The Dead Weather, "Three Dollar Hat"

A supergroup comprised of members of the Kills, Queens of the Stone Age, the Raconteurs, and, uh, Jack White, the Dead Weather are more fun than is the norm for supergroups. They're probably my favorite post-White Stripes work from White - he's fun on the drums, and Alison Mosshart in particular is a great foil for him.

Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, "Star Trek"

A tasty little instrumental here from TFUL282, which...I'm not sure I've spelled that out. I don't like it! Thinking Fellers? Ugh.
