Another year end roundup, this one from Allmusic. More will be coming! Today's music.

Camper Van Beethoven, "Turquoise Jewelry"

You know, up until listening to this now, after listening to some Firewater earlier today, I'd never really made the connection between the bands. But I think there's some similarity between them, especially with the last couple Firewater albums.

Wilco, "The Jolly Banker"

Back to Alpha Mike Foxtrot for a delightful little tune that basically sounds like an Uncle Tupelo number. That's, of course, a good thing.

(Looks.)

Dammit, this is a repeat.

Pegboy, "Still Uneasy"

Last time, we had a cover song from Pegboy. This time, you have a more representative song, a good example of their typical Midwestern melodic punk.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, "Padre Nuestro"

From the album Rey Azúcar, this is a song from the long-running fusion/latin group. I'm afraid I'm far from an expert, but I enjoy the two albums that I have from them.

Radiohead, "Ful Stop"

Another track from A Moon Shaped Pool, which I had again forgotten existed since the last time that it popped up here. Kind of a fun track here, though.

(NB: A live track, because of course, the studio version isn't available.)

Fifteen, "The End of the Summer"

Oh, for fuck's sake. Another repeat. It's a new first for Five Songs! Today: Seven Songs!

Gob, "I Hear You Calling"

Let's wrap this set up with one more punk song, because why not? A perfectly pleasant song, I guess I'll let shuffle get away with the double repeat today.
