Bob Marley & The Wailers, "Feel Alright"
This song is part of those "Complete Wailers" compilations, this coming from the period from 1967-1972. That makes it an early track, possibly pre-dating any of their full albums. As always with many Jamaican artists, their discography can be very confusing to try and get on top of after the fact.
Xenia Rubinos, "Pan Y Cafe"
Hey, it's been a while, but we have another classic I Have No Idea How I Got This track. No recollection. Doesn't seem to be on Bandcamp, don't recognize the label, can't remember hearing it before. Fun track, though! I'm going to listen to the album after I'm done writing this up.
DJ Shadow, "Hindsight"
Preemptive Strike is a collection of DJ Shadow's pre-Endtroducing... singles, released after that album got huge. It's a good companion piece, and recommended for any fans of that album.
The Kinks, "Big Sky"
The Kinks are a great example of a prolific, great band that I just haven't had the time to explore as much as I should. I've got a few of their core albums, and even there, I came to them as a consequence of a cover (the Young Fresh Fellows covering "Picture Book"). At any rate, this is from The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society, which is tremendous.
Big Audio Dynamite II, "Innocent Child"
Big Audio Dynamite is Mick Jones's post-Clash band. This album, The Globe, technically comes from BAD II, which is when he restarted the band with all new band members. I bought this album based on liking "Rush". And even there, I mostly really liked the break in the middle of the record. More of that! It turned out that I didn't really care for the album otherwise.
