Five Songs, 12/18/2017

Six songs today! Repeats are your best value here at Five Songs Incorporated!

Nitzer Ebb, "Higher (Barry Adamson Mix)"

This is from an obscure EP called As Is, a little four song thing with a grab bag of tracks on it. It was put out to precede Ebbhead, which was to be their major label debut, and was supposed to get people hyped up. It's not a bad little EP, you know, if you're into Nitzer Ebb.

Lambchop, "What Else Could It Be"

Come on, Amazon, we had this song SIX DAYS AGO.

Grandaddy, "The Crystal Lake"

The opening of this song sounds like late model Cure.

Frederick Knight, "Passing Thru"

A song from very late in the Stax run, where you can hear how much Isaac Hayes has influenced the sound of the label.

Einstürzende Neubauten, "Das Schaben"

Now, that's goddamn industrial music! Another song...let's call it composition, from Halber Mensch, which continues to be awesome, and which I'm going to listen to in full after this entry is fully composed.

matt pond PA, "Everything Until The East Coast Ends"

This is a good song. I feel like I don't have a ton to say about the songs today, but that's OK, because it's a solid set.
